Infinity Dance is truly her pride and joy. As the Owner and Director of Infinity Dance, Miss Stephanie has been here since day one and is heading into an exciting Season 9! Miss Stephanie grew up dancing in Medicine Hat, training in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Hip Hop. She has now been teaching dance for 16 years and holds an extensive list of teaching qualifications, including Royal Academy of Dance RTS & CBTS, ADAPT Jazz & Tap, Acrobatic Arts, ADTA, Progressing Ballet Technique, Ready Set Dance Gold Certification, Discover Dance, IDTS and Dance Teacher University Level 1 through the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also holds her Early Childhood Educator Level 1 Certification through the Government of Alberta. Miss Stephanie mentors developing dance teachers and regularly attends Dance Teacher Web in Las Vegas to continue learning from industry leading professionals. Throughout her career, Miss Stephanie has received choreography awards and has been recognized as a Ready Set Dance Community Service recipient. Infinity Dance has also been named Ready Set Dance Studio of the Year in both 2024 and 2025! She has been nominated for a Women in Business Inspire Award, and Infinity Dance has received recognition at both the local and provincial level as a finalist for New Business of the Year in 2019. Miss Stephanie is also incredibly passionate about creating amazing performance opportunities for her dancers! She has taken dancers to perform at Walt Disney World twice and on a Caribbean cruise. She absolutely loves watching her students experience new stages, new places and unforgettable adventures together. Whether it’s a big performance, competition weekend, studio showcase or everyday class, you can count on Miss Stephanie being one of the loudest people cheering her students on! But the accomplishments and performances aren't what Miss Stephanie loves most about teaching. Her favourite moments are the laughs, memories and connections she gets to build with her dancers and their families. She wants every dancer who walks into an Infinity classroom to leave feeling like they learned so much more than dance steps. Her hope is that along the way, dancers develop important values, a strong work ethic, resilience and life lessons that they can carry with them long after their dancing days are over. She has trained and performed in everything from studio dance to show company, breakdance crew and college dance team. She has spent years turning that experience into exciting opportunities for her students. Her qualifications include ADAPT Jazz & Tap, Progressing Ballet Technique, DiscoverDance Early Childhood Education, Dance Teacher University Level 1 through UNLV and Ready Set Dance Gold Certification. In 2025, Miss Heather was named 2025 Ready Set Dance Affiliate Teacher of the Year! Some of her favourite career memories include taking dancers to compete in Las Vegas, taking Infinity dancers to perform at Walt Disney World, earning overall choreography and group awards at competitions and, of course, watching her dancers absolutely light up the stage. For Miss Heather, teaching always comes back to the kids. She loves having the opportunity to positively impact young people through dance and is passionate about helping dancers develop confidence, self worth and genuine joy both onstage and off. She trained right here in Medicine Hat through Medicine Hat College, Hit the Floor and Infinity Dance, while also developing her acrobatic skills through cheerleading with the Medicine Hat Stingers. After five years as an assistant, Miss Karli stepped into a lead teaching role and is now heading into her fourth year as a lead instructor at Infinity! Her training includes ADAPT Teacher Training, Acrobatic Arts Modules 1 & 2, Aerial and Back Handspring training, Back Tuck and Back Layout certification, Progressing Ballet Technique and Progressing Contemporary Technique. She is also passionate about continuing education and has attended Acro Live, Dance Teacher Web and Excel Convention learning opportunities. Miss Karli's creativity shines through her choreography! In three competitive seasons, her work has earned 13 choreography awards, including being recognized as a top choreographer in 2025. As a dancer herself, she was also awarded Teen Most Potential Soloist in 2019. What does she love most about teaching? The creative process and getting to know the incredible humans in her classes! She wants her dancers to leave with confidence in who they are, discipline, a growth mindset and a true connection to the music and people around them. Two words: Disney. Magic. Miss Marissa brings nearly three decades of dance experience to Infinity and is heading into approximately her sixth year teaching with us! She teaches Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap, Stylized, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Ready Set Dance and Recreational programming. She trained through Medicine Hat College Dance in Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Stylized, Contemporary and Pointe. Her qualifications include ADAPT, Ready Set Dance, Tap Roots, Acrobatic Arts Module 1, and PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), RAD Ballet examinations through Intermediate and Once Upon a Ballet Early Childhood training. She also attended Dance Teacher Web to continue growing as an educator. Before teaching some of Infinity's littlest and biggest stars, Miss Marissa spent five contracts performing with Disney Cruise Line! She performed in deck shows, holiday enhancements, Broadway style productions and as a character dancer while sailing the Eastern and Western Caribbean. She was also part of the media cast for the Disney Wish in Amsterdam, sailed with the ship across the Atlantic to its home port in Florida and helped OPEN THE SHIP! That sense of fun and magic follows her straight into the classroom. Miss Marissa loves watching dancers come out of their shells, discover their own style and fall in love with an art form that means so much to her. Her classroom philosophy? Miss Hailey basically grew up at Infinity, and now she gets to help the next generation of dancers do the same! After dancing for 13 years, spending a year assisting and training at studios throughout Medicine Hat before joining Infinity when it opened, Miss Hailey is heading into her third year as a lead instructor. She teaches a little bit of EVERYTHING, including Ready Set Dance, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Hip Hop, Tap and Ballet! Miss Hailey holds ADAPT Teacher Training School qualifications and Ready Set Dance certification. One of her absolute favourite parts of teaching is watching dancers set goals, work toward them and finally experience that exciting moment when they realize they did it! Now heading into her second year as a lead instructor, Miss Nevaeh teaches Hip Hop, Acro, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Ready Set Dance. She grew up training in Medicine Hat across a variety of dance styles and has continued developing her skills as both a dancer and educator. Her certifications include Tap Roots foundational curriculum, Acrobatic Arts Module 1 and Ready Set Dance. She's also attended Dance Teacher Web in Las Vegas for the past two years and plans to keep going! She even recently got to use her choreography skills outside the studio when she created a couple's first dance for their wedding! Miss Nevaeh loves that dance changes with every student who walks through Infinity's doors. Every dancer brings something different into the room, which means she gets to keep learning right alongside them. She hopes her students discover that dance is SO much more than an extracurricular activity. It's a place to discover yourself, build lifelong friendships and learn what it feels like to be genuinely passionate about something. And her favourite part of Infinity? Miss Aaliyah has been part of Infinity Dance since the studio opened and has spent 15 years dancing, with the majority of her training happening right here at Infinity. After six seasons as an assistant, she is officially beginning her first season as a lead instructor! Miss Aaliyah teaches Ready Set Dance, Parent & Tot and Recreational Dance. Throughout her own dance journey, she has trained in Acro, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Tap, with some extra fun thrown in through Ballroom, Pom, Waacking and Vogue! Her training includes the ADAPT Assistant Certification Course, ADTA Assistant Course and ADTA Kinder Acro Certification. She was also part of the ADTA Demo Team and was selected as one of only four dancers to serve as an Acro Leader, giving her the opportunity to help create a routine for the team and participate in a photoshoot! After years of assisting dancers, Miss Aaliyah can't wait to lead a classroom of her own. She loves watching students grow and seeing their confidence build a little more every class. One lesson she especially wants her students to learn? Mistakes are allowed! Mistakes are how we learn. When those performance nerves kick in, Miss Aaliyah reminds her dancers that sometimes we're nervous simply because we care so much, and that's a pretty special thing. Originally from Edmonton, Miss Karen has been teaching for an incredible 37 years and is a member of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance. She continues her professional development through both the SDTA and ScotDance Canada. Miss Karen's Highland career has taken her around the world. She competed in Scotland herself and has gone on to give her own dancers some incredible opportunities, including travelling to Scotland, earning nominations for the North American Scholarship Awards and competing in six different countries! For Miss Karen, teaching is about so much more than perfect technique. She loves the laughs, celebrations, achievements and the opportunity to pass her knowledge on to another generation of dancers. She wants her students to develop confidence, sportsmanship, discipline and a positive mindset that follows them far beyond the dance floor. Her goal is simple. Help dancers LOVE what they do and give them the tools they need to reach their goals. And what does she love about Infinity? The collaboration, positivity and commitment to putting student wellbeing first. Originally from Cranbrook, BC, Miss Abby has been dancing for 17 years and teaching for nine. Highland is her specialty, but over the years she's also explored Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Ballet. Miss Abby is an SDTA Highland member and has had some pretty exciting competitive accomplishments of her own, including winning a 16 & Over Pre Championship in Scotland! For Miss Abby, teaching gives her the chance to share something she genuinely loves with her students. She encourages her dancers to work hard, try their best and, above everything else, HAVE FUN! She's particularly passionate about building confidence and loves being part of the dance family and community at Infinity. And when she's not dancing? Originally from Edmonton, Karen Pillman started dance at the age of four and began a long Highland Dance career at the age of nine. Miss Karen was a successful competitor for over ten years dancing across Canada and Scotland. Upon retirement from competitive dance at the Premier level, Miss Karen taught for the Allison Lamont School of Dance in Lloydminster, and Freehouse Dance Plus in Calgary. Once settling in Medicine Hat, Miss Karen opened the McConnell School of Highland Dance in 1996. The McConnell School of Highland Dance has grown over the years and our dancers compete in Canada and internationally. Our international highlights include the British Overseas Championship, New Zealand Championship, International Festival of Highland Dance Championship in Australia and the World Highland Dance Championship in Scotland. Now with over thirty years of teaching experience and knowledge, Miss Karen is a Professional Member of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance (SDTA), and ScotDance Canada. Abby is a third-year Education student at Medicine Hat College, where she’s earned a spot on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. She’s also the starting keeper for the Medicine Hat Rattlers Soccer team, balancing her passion for education, athletics, and the arts with incredible dedication. Abby is a Championship Highland Dancer with a strong background in performance and technique. She has successfully completed her Highland Teacher’s Examination and is a Professional Member of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance SDTA. With three years of Highland teaching experience, Abby brings energy, structure, and a deep love for tradition to every class she leads.
